Hours: Full Time
Due to continued growth in the Engineering Division, we have a requirement for Hydraulic Technicians, to come and join us, based at our headquarters in Boyndie, Aberdeenshire.
The Hydraulic Technician will inspect, repair, assemble and test hydraulic equipment as required in accordance with company procedures. Undertake a variety of tasks that involve the manufacture and maintenance of hydraulic systems. The post holder will ensure products are manufactured efficiently, within the allocated delivery schedule as per operational planner and ensure all work is carried out in compliance with relevant Health and Safety guidelines.
About the team:
You’ll be joining a hardworking and skilled team, who are used to working to high standards specifications of work. As part of our Engineering team, you’ll be reporting into John Turner, our Hydraulics & Assembly Manager for UK & Europe.
And you’ll be working alongside a committed and proud Motive team in the UK and globally that want to play their part in the growth of the business and support each other daily to create a positive, values driven and hard-working professional environment.
Responsibilities:
- Adopting the Motive Offshore Group People Values and ensuring their use is embedded throughout day-to-day tasks and decision making.
- Assist with troubleshooting on, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Inspect and overhaul valves, motors, pumps and other hydraulic components.
- Continually demonstrate safe operation of hydraulic test equipment.
- Maintain housekeeping in workshop. Ensure all work areas are clean and tidy including company transport.
- Safe operation of machinery, hand tools, lifting equipment and ensure job materials and equipment are correctly used.
- Learn to understand assembly drawings complete with bills of material and hydraulic schematics.
Report any problems that have occurred or any questions that you may have to the Production Manager. - Develop strong working relations with key stake-holders – clients, colleagues etc.
- To be a positive ambassador for Motive Offshore Group Ltd.
Required skills / knowledge:
- Time served/significant experience in a hydraulic technician role.
- Proficient in stainless steel tube bending is desirable.
- Ability to interpret schematic drawings.
- Hydraulic fault finding & diagnosis would be advantageous.
- Fault diagnosis skills
- HNC (or equivalent) in engineering trade or relevant trade experience.
- Good time management.

Thanks to our growth plans for the US and America’s regions, we are now hiring for Inspection Technicians as part of our Certification & Inspection division.
This role will involve both onshore and offshore work and is responsible for the on-site inspection services that commission and operate equipment in a safe, competent and professional manner, while working side-by-side with the client & Motive Offshore Group departments.

About the team:
Reporting into our Technical Lead, John, you’ll be able to lay claim to being one of the early key players of Motive Offshore in the US & Americas, helping us define how we move forward and deliver for our clients & our people. Our small team in the US are based out of Houston and may only be a few strong, but we’re growing and want great people to be a part of that.

Responsibilities:

- To attend project briefings & de-briefings.
- To attend client inductions/HIRA’s as and when required.
- To complete online client inductions and training as and when required.
- To participate in internal and external training courses where identified.
- Attend client FAT’s when requested.
- To liaise and build rapport with the client whilst at the worksite.
- Stocktake equipment on arrival at worksite, communicating any anomalies and or damage to the client and Operations Coordinator.
- Commission equipment at worksite and perform load test operations as per the clients’ requirements, completing all necessary paperwork.
- Operate equipment as per clients’ instructions, ensuring all daily checks and paperwork are completed.
- Complete required onsite paperwork such as post installation checks & maintenance records.
- Complete DCSR sheets in full, with accurate times and descriptions obtaining signed approval from the client.
- Demobilise equipment at the worksite and prepare for shipping, completing any necessary cargo manifests.
- Assisting in the workshop on occasion for mob/Demob of equipment.
- Hand in project paperwork and expenses to Operations Coordinator in a timely manner post project.
- Adherence to client safe working practices and quality assurance systems.
- HSEQ – compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations, and the company’s management system.
- Develop strong working relations with key stake-holders – clients, colleagues etc.
- To be a positive ambassador for Motive Offshore Group Ltd.
Required skills/Knowledge:
- Where applicable Suitable NDT certification (SNT or PCN Level II).
- Offshore certification.

We are looking for a Sales Engineer to join our Sales Team, based in Stavanger, Norway.
We are absolutely determined to grow Motive in Norway and the wider regions and the Sales Engineer will carry out sales activities on assigned clients, to generate and qualify sales leads to meet company goals and help us achieve that growth. They will play a very important role in ensuring customer satisfaction is achieved every time. This person must be willing to travel within Norway, with potential overseas travel.

Reporting into Regional Manager for Norway, you’ll be working alongside a Sales & Operations team that strive for high quality service of work.

Responsibilities:

Due to continued growth within our Engineering Division, we are hiring for a new Project Engineer to come and join the team. This role will be based from our home in Boyndie, Aberdeenshire, but can also work hybrid when required.
The Project Engineer plays a key role in the business and is responsible for the planning, organisation, and delivery of projects from initial enquiry through to final Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT). We pride ourselves on high standards of work, how we collaborate as a team and the service to our clients, and the Project Engineer will be a key player in ensuring all aspects of the projects they are responsible run as smoothly and positively as possible.
Responsibilities:
- Adopting the Motive Offshore Group People Values and ensuring their use is embedded throughout day-to-day tasks and decision making.
- Be principal point of contact with clients.
- Manage a range of Rentals and Engineering projects.
- Review all technical project documentation at contract award and highlight changes and/or discrepancies between pre-award and contract documentation and potential deficiencies in tender method statements.
- Interact directly with the clients to ensure their requirements are clearly understood. Internally distribute this information ensuring all Motive staff clearly understand what is required.
- Ensure project scope accurately reflects the client’s requirements from a technical and commercial perspective.
- Ensure all processes flow correctly through to final detail of completed documentation.
- Ensure delivery schedule information is current and available.
- Co-ordinate and undertake the generation of procurement, fabrication works and installation documentation (scopes of work, procedures, drawings, lift plans, sketches, etc).
- Issue drawings to suppliers for tendering and prepare bid comparisons.
- Ensure technical accuracy of internal and third-party procurement, fabrication and installation documentation including compliance with contract requirements.
- Be accountable for highlighting scope variations during execution of the activities and compilation of all required supporting evidence and documentation.
- Undertake preparation of project cost time resource (CTR) estimates and ensure Project activities are delivered in line with agreed CTR targets.
- Participate in the collection, collation and communication of technical lessons learned, as well as feedback from offshore crews and Client personnel.
- Monitor compliance to applicable codes, practices, Company QA/QC policies, performance standards and specifications.
- Perform overall quality control of the work (budget, schedule, plans) and report regularly on project status.
- Cooperate and communicate effectively with other project participants to provide assistance and technical support where required.
- Review deliverables and initiate appropriate corrective actions.
- Undertake rotation for out of hours personnel logistics support.
Required Skills/Knowledge:
- Experience of working in a similar project engineering role is essential.
- An Engineering qualification would be advantageous.
- The ability to explain design ideas and plans clearly.
- Project management skills.
- Willingness to travel to offsite meetings when required.
- Ability to work on their own or as part of a team.
- Ability to work to deadlines on fast moving projects.

Hours: Permanent - 38 hours per week
Due to continued growth in our FZE Division, we have a requirement for a Project Engineer to join our team in Sharjah, UAE. As an integral member of the team, the Project Engineer will be responsible for directing, organizing and controlling both internal projects and external, client focused, project activities.
The role will be involved in project specific engineering checks and will ensure all projects are carried out in compliance with the Quality Management system & within relevant HSEQ guidelines.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare project planning documents.
- Attend Project Meetings and minute actions.
- Track the progress and quality of work being performed by design disciplines/trades

- Keep the Operations Manager and others informed about project status and issues that may impact client relations.
- Prepare, review and sign off documentation packages for client operations to include all relevant certification, data sheets, Manuals and other documentation
- Assist with in field personnel selection and logistics in conjunction with client requirements and internal stakeholders.
- Prepare al mobilization orders
- Assist Workshop team in planning and scheduling preventative maintenance based on upcoming requirements
Required skills / knowledge:
- Experience of working with Mechanical, Hydraulic, and/or electrical equipment
- Proven project delivery track record within the Marine / Offshore industry
- Experience in Management Systems BS EN ISO 9001, BS EN ISO 14001 or OHSAS 18001 would be advantageous.
- The ability to influence and communicate effectively with all levels of staff
- Self-motivated and ability to work under pressure.
- Assertive with meticulous attention to detail.

Due to continued growth in our FZE Division, we have a requirement for a C&I Technician to join our project team in Sharjah, UAE. An integral member of the team, the C&I Technician role is both onshore and offshore work.
The C&K Technician will be involved onsite inspection services that commission and operate equipment in a safe, competent and professional manner while working side-by-side with the client and various Motive Offshore Group departments.
About the team:
As a part of Operations, you’ll be a key member of a close-knit, hardworking, and skilled team: one that is used to working to a high standard and specification. You will be supported by Tony, our C&K Division Manager for the Middle East, whose goal, much like your own, is to ensure that inspections run smoothly and adhere to client safe-working and quality assurance practices.

Responsibilities:

- Attend project briefings & de-briefings.
- Attend client inductions/HIRA’s as and when required.
- Complete online client inductions and training as and when required.
- Participate in internal and external training courses where identified.

- Liaise and build rapport with the client whilst at the worksite.
- Stocktake equipment on arrival at worksite, communicating any anomalies and or damage to the client and Operations Coordinator.
- Commission equipment at worksite and perform load test operations as per the clients’ requirements, completing all necessary paperwork.
- Operate equipment as per clients’ instructions, ensuring all daily checks and paperwork are completed.
- Working in the workshop on occasion for mob/Demob of equipment – working in the workshop is required when not on client work scopes.
- Complete required onsite paperwork such as post installation checks & maintenance records.
- Management of Motive online certification database.
- Complete DCSR sheets in full, with accurate times and descriptions obtaining signed approval from the client.
- Demobilise equipment at the worksite and prepare for shipping, completing any necessary cargo manifests.
- Management of Motive rental fleet equipment and lifting equipment.
- Assist with wire rope spooling and inspection operations – both at Motive and client work sites.
- Hand in project paperwork and expenses to Operations Coordinator in a timely manner post project.
- Adherence to client safe working practices and quality assurance systems.
- HSEQ – compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations, and the company’s management system.
- Develop strong working relations with key stake-holders – clients, colleagues etc.
- To be a positive ambassador for Motive Offshore Group Ltd.
Required skills / knowledge:
- Fluent in spoken and written English
- NDT certification (SNT or PCN Level II).MT & ET minimum
- LEEA qualification
- Offshore certification.

As part of our ongoing growth, we're looking to add a further Rental Fleet Technician to our team, based out of our site in Boyndie, Banff.
Reporting to the Rental Fleet Chargehand, you will be responsible for the demobilisation and servicing of equipment being returned onshore from client locations. You will be responsible for the completion of and processing of demobilisation paperwork and for undertaking necessary repairs and servicing of Motive rental fleet equipment. The post holder will ensure all work is carried out in compliance with relevant Health, Safety and Quality guidelines.
About the team:
As a part of Engineering & Rentals, you’ll be a key member of a small, hardworking, and skilled team who are used to working to a high standard and specification. You will be supported by Bruce & Kevin, as well as your fellow Technicians, with their goal, much like your own, to enable a quick and safe turn-around of equipment.
As well, you will be working alongside a committed and proud Motive team in the UK and globally, who want to play their part in the growth of the business and support each other daily to create a positive, values-driven professional environment.
Responsibilities:

- Demobilising of all off hire equipment returning to onshore in accordance with the Rental Equipment Mobilisation and Demobilisation procedure.
- Offloading equipment returned from client locations
- Quarantining and tagging off hire equipment in line with the Product Identification and Tagging Procedure
- Upkeep of and completion of demobilisation paperwork including the recording of missing or damaged equipment
- Performing and documenting inspections of demobbed equipment
- Identifying and undertaking required repairs and maintenance of demobbed equipment
- Servicing and undertaking planned preventive maintenance of the rental fleet equipment and any other equipment deemed necessary
- Ensuring all service and maintenance records are completed and uploaded within the company IT software system
- Testing of equipment including flow / pressure testing hydraulic systems and flushing
- Ensuring regular communication with project admin team
- Ability to read, understand and disseminate technical drawings and converse with the technical requirements of the task in hand.
- Safe operation of machinery, hand tools, lifting equipment and ensure job materials and equipment are correctly used.
- Identify and provide appropriate tools and equipment, instruction and technical data to operatives.
- Assist in the Mobilisation and FAT process as and when required
- Liaise with other departments and individuals required to support the programme.
- Develop strong working relations with key stake-holders – clients, colleagues etc.

Required skills / knowledge:
- Time served in a mechanical role preferred
- Mechanical and hydraulic experience

Due to continued growth within our Engineering Division, we are looking for Fabricator Welders to come and join the team based onsite in Boyndie, Aberdeenshire.
Reporting to the Fabrication Chargehand, the Fabricator Welder will play a key role in the smooth running of production; working efficiently and competently to ensure that tasks are completed as per the company Work in Progress (WIP) List. The post holder will ensure products are manufactured efficiently and ensure all work is carried out in compliance with relevant Health and Safety guidelines.
Potential candidates will be invited onsite to perform a weld test and should be able to demonstrate the ability to interpret an engineering drawing at the interview stage.

- Raise requisition for consumable items and any other shortfall materials.
- Communicate with other department within operations.

As an integral member of the team, the Project Engineer will be responsible for directing, organizing and controlling both internal projects and external, client focused, project activities.
Reporting to the Operations Team Lead, the Project Engineer will be responsible for scheduling, planning, and managing engineering activities aimed at assuring project accuracy and quality from conception to completion.

Responsibilities:

- Ensuring that project activities adhere to the Business Management System processes and procedures.
- Ensuring that all project related activities are executed safely and efficiently, is of a high quality and in compliance with relevant industry codes and standards.
- Identify, record and show mitigation of technical and operational risk.
- Identify opportunities for the project.
- Technical Review of Client scope of work and supporting documents including drawings, specifications and reports.
- Review all technical project documentation at contract award and highlight changes and/or discrepancies between pre-award and contract documentation and potential deficiencies in tender method statements.
- Co-ordinate and undertake the generation of procurement, fabrication and installation documentation (scopes of work, procedures, drawings, lift plans, sketches, etc).
- Ensure technical accuracy of internal and third party procurement, fabrication and installation documentation including compliance with contract requirements.
- Be accountable for highlighting scope variations during execution of the offshore project activities and compilation of all required supporting evidence and documentation.
- Prepare and deliver presentations on project related techniques and methods during third party and peer reviews as well as Risk Assessments.
- Support the acceptance process on completion of project activities and co-ordinate the preparation of project "as-built" documentation packages.
- Undertake preparation of project cost time resource (CTR) estimates and ensure project activities are delivered in line with agreed CTR targets.
- Highlight project scope variations and support the compilation of all required supporting evidence and documentation.
- Act as Focal Point for the compilation of "as-built" documentation.
- Responsible for the collection, collation and communication of technical lessons learned, as well as feedback from offshore crews and Client personnel.
- Ensure all equipment certification is current on Kinetic system.
- Coordinate with Operations Team Lead to ensure that all jobs are manned with correct personnel.
- Compile project specific documentation such as mobilisation orders, rental project certification packages, project information package and testing package. Ensuring presentations of such documents are of high quality.
- Coordination of pre and post job briefings for operators.
- Updating of utilisation for equipment and personnel on Asset Voice.
- Assist the Operations Team Lead and Regional Manager with tasks delegated by them when requested.
- Arrange and take minutes of meetings at all project handover, progress, closure meetings and distribute to relevant personnel. Ensure that all actions from the meetings have been recorded.
- Coordinate operational personnel for projects including allocation of technicians, travel arrangements, training and ensuring project information is received and understood. Process technician DCSR timesheets, post installation records, maintenance records and expenses to the relevant files.
- Responsible for closing out of actions on action tracker register.
Required skills / knowledge:
- Experience of working in a similar project engineering role is preferred.
- Engineering Design HNC / HND preferred.
- The ability to explain design ideas and plans clearly.
- Willingness to travel to offsite meetings when required.
- Ability to work on their own or as part of a team
- Ability to work to deadlines on fast moving projects
