Tony Clark - Inspection Manager (Motive FZE)
Tony joined Motive in 2018 as an Inspection Manager in the UK, having worked in the oil & gas, renewables, and marine industries for over 15 years.
Starting out in the industry as a lifting equipment inspector for a company located in the Middle East, Tony would progress his career in the years that followed to gain a wealth of qualifications and experience across inspection, NDT & rope access.
Previously Tony's roles were always as an offshore-based technician, until joining Motive where he had the opportunity to progress further into a management position. Tony is LEEA and PCN qualified and was Rope Access Level 3 qualified for the past 13 years.
What attracted you to joining Motive Offshore Group?
I already knew some of the team having carried out a lot of work for Motive initially as a sub-contractor. I liked what the (at the time, small) Certification and Inspection team were doing and could see it was going to be very successful, so when I was offered a full-time position I had no hesitation in accepting.

In January 2020 Tony relocated from the UK to join the Motive FZE team in the UAE, taking on the role of Inspection Manager.
With responsibility for running the Middle East Certification & Inspection division and managing the Inspection Technician team, Tony ensures projects are delivered safely and to the satisfaction of our clients.
My work days are always varied, from client meetings and site visits, to sometimes getting my overalls out to assist on projects.
What is the best thing about being ‘Team Motive’?
We all work in a challenging industry and Motive has multiple locations around the globe (UK, Norway, UAE, US & Taiwan), with over 200 employees.
Despite the growth of the company, we always find time to come together as ‘Team Motive’ for various challenges throughout the year, ensuring we can all stay connected and motivated while having fun and competition at the same time.
What would you say to anyone considering working for Motive?
I would encourage anyone if given the opportunity to work for Motive to do it. I am grateful for the opportunities given to me whilst working for Motive. I have had lots of opportunities to travel the world, now emigrating to another country in my latest role.
