Leah Innes - Business Administration Apprentice

Leah joined the Motive Team at Boyndie in 2019, embarking on a Sales and Marketing Apprenticeship which would see her combine studying for a diploma in Digital Marketing whilst working within the sales and marketing departments.

Having really enjoyed Administration, IT and Business at school, Leah was uncertain about taking the university route like many of her friends, instead keen to pursue a role that would allow her to gain on-the-job experience whilst continuing to learn.

When I saw the Sales and Marketing Apprenticeship advertised, I could really picture myself in the role and had already heard a lot of great things about Motive Apprenticeships at school.

Achieving her Digital Marketing certification in August 2020, Leah continued her studies and is currently on track to complete a Business and Administration Modern Apprenticeship through NESCOL.

The Digital Marketing qualification has really helped with the marketing activities I have to complete in my role. Working on my second-year qualification in Business and Administration has helped me understand more aspects of the business, allowing me to get involved in more complex tasks required on a monthly and quarterly basis.

Leah’s key areas of responsibility include preparing sales quotations and specifications, maintaining our CRM system, and generating content for social media and the company website.

Over the two years spent within the Sales and Marketing team, Leah has gained valuable knowledge and experience:

Everyone works hard to achieve the team goals and always helps each other out. Looking back to my first day at Motive I can see I have become more confident and feel that my input is really valued within the team. I'd say to anyone considering joining Motive that if you are keen to work hard, learn new things and develop your skills, then Motive is a great place to work. They provide all the support and training you could need to help develop and advance your career.
