C-Kore's global footprint in Subsea Testing
31 AUGUST 2026
Introducing C-Kore - A global footprint grounded in real-world experience
One month on since joining Motive Offshore Group, C-Kore’s path forward will continue to advance its already well-established global standing.
Driven by its mission to ‘simplify subsea testing’, C-Kore has grown significantly, building its reputation across multiple continents - from supporting operators tackling Brazil’s complex ultra-deepwater fields, to testing main umbilicals in the shallows of the Timor Sea offshore Australia.

By stepping away from outdated testing habits that route data through long lengths of complex downline cabling, C-Kore has carved a niche in automated, compact measurement tools designed specifically to offer reliable, accurate results by measuring right at the source, subsea. Whether accompanying cables from the factory floor or deployed directly subsea, C-Kore solutions offer assured results along with significant time and cost savings.
Since starting in 2012 with its flagship Cable Monitor tool, testing insulation resistance and continuity of subsea umbilicals, C-Kore is continually developing its technologies and methodologies, creating a range of testing tools to support subsea construction, maintenance, and fault-finding campaigns.
This next phase for C-Kore since its acquisition by Motive will focus on amplifying its proven international footprint, giving clients the same trusted subsea reliability backed by an even broader network of global support.
Motive’s strengths in deployment spreads, testing, inspection, and certification pair naturally with C-Kore’s cable-testing capabilities, together bridging the gap between asset integrity technology and reliable offshore handling.
Bringing this advanced subsea testing capability into the Motive Offshore Group enhances both geographic reach and the ability to deliver consistent, high-quality services at scale. For clients operating in complex offshore environments, the combination of local presence backed by globally proven expertise delivers unmatched value.
The practical insight behind a global footprint
One of C-Kore’s defining strengths is the diversity of its operational footprint. The company has delivered projects across key offshore regions, including the North Sea, Gulf of Mexico, Brazil, West Africa, Southeast Asia, and Australia. This geographic spread is more than a measure of activity - it reflects the experience gained across varied regulatory frameworks, offshore environments, and operator expectations.
Delivering certainty when it matters most
C-Kore must often act quickly to help clients minimise downtime and restore offshore operations.
A compelling example illustrating this in practice involved a North Sea client facing an acute offshore failure. Following an urgent call to C-Kore at 14:00 on a Friday, equipment was readied and enroute to the client by 18:00. Upon arrival, a rapid feeder boat transported the automated, handheld units directly to the waiting offshore DSV.
By pinpointing the fault within centimetres - a capability unique to C-Kore - the client was able to make informed remedial decisions to rapidly resume field operations.
Similarly, offshore O&G operators’ confidence in C-Kore's technology is demonstrated by the multiple long-term vessel contracts secured in South America.
By equipping offshore construction vessels with C-Kore tools for various installation projects, operators can monitor the condition of newly installed umbilicals throughout the entire project and capture baseline readings for commissioned well sensor systems. This latter application has piqued interest for onshore well monitoring, driven by the exceptional data quality delivered by C-Kore's tools.
C-Kore's technology is perfectly placed for offshore operations in remote deepwater locations, such as offshore Western Africa. Building on innovations like its subsea optical fiber testing tool, C-Kore has expanded its offerings into a comprehensive suite designed to monitor the electrical, optical, and hydraulic lines of umbilicals.
This regional expertise strengthens Motive Offshore Group’s ability to support multinational clients with consistent service delivery and faster deployment of advanced testing solutions across regions.
Jonathan Watt, CCO @Motive Offshore Group comments:
Overall, this integration supports Motive’s constant shift toward more data-driven operations, where insights are shared across disciplines to improve asset performance and lifecycle management, leading to greater consistency in data quality and project outcomes.
