Following previous collaborations with Aquatic (acquired by Motive Offshore Group in 2024), our client entrusted Motive with the provision of an Umbilical and Cable Lay System for a major project campaign, recognising our proven track record and established capability in SURF and cable handling equipment.
THE CHALLENGE
To eliminate costly schedule risk, the client required an absolute guarantee of immediate mobilisation for the extensive equipment spread, demanding technical readiness well in advance of the planned offshore dates.
Through rigorous, proactive logistical planning and testing schedules, the full spread (including the 500Te Reel Drive System) achieved assured operational readiness, remaining deployable and prepared for loadout well ahead of the client's collection schedule, guaranteeing project continuity.
Our Solution
Spanning five distinct campaigns - FOC Piggyback, FOC Transpooling, LCV Umbilical, J-Tube Pull, and FOC Splicing - Motive delivered an end-to-end solution supplying a wide range of equipment, alongside a team of 8 Multi-Disciplined Personnel.
The engineering phase for the umbilical lay scope included custom-modification of the Levelwind guides to match the specific product dimensions and existing deck arrangement.
Providing full project management, Motive expertly handled the significant volume of planning and documentation required.
