Hosted by Interface - an organisation committed to developing and supporting collaborations between business and research communities in Scotland – the prestigious awards showcase successful collaborations between businesses and the academic community, celebrating the unique partnerships driving industry growth and innovation.

Ed Blissitt first partnered with Motive in 2020 via a Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) with the University of Aberdeen, collaborating on the development of a technology concept to digitalise back-deck equipment.

The SmartWinch technology delivers a range of new benefits across the Motive equipment supply that will help optimise offshore operations through increased efficiency and reduced manpower.

Previously inaccessible data is now available through real-time monitoring and asset tracking, delivering valuable insights for more informed decision-making around areas such as ESG Analysis and Predictive Maintenance.

The team is delighted to see Ed receive the award, a well-deserved recognition for his exceptional research, dedication, and hard work.
