Motive APAC full-scope TIC delivery across three regional projects
Motive has completed a comprehensive, month-long Testing, Inspection, and Certification (TIC) campaign across three major regional projects in APAC . By leveraging our local inspection expertise and in-country assets, our team ensured total safety compliance and maximum asset integrity for our partners.
In the energy sector, structural integrity and lifting safety are non-negotiable. Over the course of the month, our APAC team rolled out a comprehensive range of specialised testing, inspection, and certification services across several projects:
- LARS Umbilical Wire Rope Installation: Using a Motive 75Te Spooling Winch with controlled 3Te back-tension to safely spool 1700mtr of 41.5mm diameter wire rope
- Inspection of Lifting Gear and Equipment: Rigorous compliance checks on wire rope slings, lifting slings, shackles, lanyards, and man-riding platforms to guarantee safety during critical lifts
- Non-Destructive Testing (NDT): Using Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI) instruments to identify cracks, corrosion, or hidden flaws in a Knuckle Boom Main Crane Hook, and conducting eddy current testing of critical weldments of the client’s umbilical reel onsite
- Load Testing: Validating equipment load capabilities using specialised waterbags and load cells for certified strength and weight validation
- Socketing of Wire Rope Termination: Carried out by our specialists to ensure secure, high-strength connections
