Motive enjoyed a visit to Banff Academy to hand over our cheque donation and high-vis vests to the group of pupils who are soon to be travelling to Tanzania.

Team Motive handing over the cheque to the pupils

Team Tanzania 2020 will depart on 2nd June for 14 nights. The fifteen pupils along with their group leaders; Christine Murray, Business Studies teacher, Brenda Stewart, Maths teacher and Ruari Harris, Geography teacher are all heading to Tanzania on a home-building mission.

In collaboration with the Vine Trust - an international development charity which enables volunteers to support communities living in poverty - the pupils and teachers will be building houses in Moshi for those who currently have no homes. Not only this, pupils will visit local orphanages to play and teach some of the local children.

The pupils have all done incredibly well and almost completed the £48,000.00 fundraising target to get them there, with only a couple more fundraising events to be held before they head off on this once in a lifetime experience.

Motive is delighted to support each and every one of them on this fantastic challenge. We look forward to following their blog while they are out in Tanzania.
