The most important asset for Motive Offshore is its staff. We believe by providing employees with the opportunity to support and motivate each other outwith the working environment results in a strengthened professional relationships within the team.
Team Motive was formed organically as a result of staff members seeking opportunities to come together to undertake challenges and fundraising initiatives as a team and by doing so supporting local and national charities. Team Motive provides employees with the opportunity to challenge themselves, gain new skills, socialise outwith the working environment, as well as reaping the benefits of a healthy and active lifestyle. Motive Offshore has actively supported Team Motive’s efforts through encouragement and financial commitment.
Initiated in 2014, Team Motive took part in a variety of fundraising initiatives, including Race For Life, The Knock Hill Race, ARCHIE's Virtual Challenge and Tough Mudder. This raised over £11,000 for The Archie Foundation and Cancer Research UK, which was matched by Motive Offshore bringing the total amount donated to over £22,000. This was followed in 2015 through participation in Cancer Research’s Race for Life, Abseil for ARCHIE and ARCHIE’s Virtual Challenge, raising a total of £2,354.50. Efforts have continued since, most recently by managing director Dave Acton, who has just completed Ironman 70.3 Dubai, raising over £400 for Macmillan Cancer Support.
Supporting our local communities
Motive Offshore believes in giving back to its local communities through sponsorship.
We are currently primary sponsors for Banff Rugby Club and wish them well for the season ahead. We also support Cornhill Highland Games, which takes place on the first Saturday in June each year, sponsoring the prizemoney for the Knock Hill Race and making contribution towards the cost of event facilities.
